Earth Week: Pick 5

ToysMegan PeronaComment

Hello! Today we have our last "Show the Earth Some Love" Tip.  It really stresses that even the smallest steps on your part can make a huge difference.

Show the Earth Some Love Tip #4

Pick 5!

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is urging everyone to pick five, simple eco-conscious actions to start using in their daily lives.  A full list can be found at epa.gov/Pick5  When you pick your 5, write them in the comments below!  We'd love to hear about them!

Some of the ideas are tips we already talked about, like Plant a Tree and Eat Local Food (and cut down on pollution from goods transportation).

Here's some other kid (and adult) friendly ideas:

- Take human powered transportation - walk, skip, hop or jump!

- Learn about composting and try it out!

- Don't Litter!

- Do some recycled art projects!

Whatever you decide to do, remember that even the smallest steps on your part will help to "show the earth some love."
