And, we were so excited to find out that Jim Henson Studios (home of the Muppets!) is bringing The Adventures of Frog & Toad to the big screen in their own animated feature film!

And, these weekend events sound like a lot of fun:

Portland Scottish Highland Games  Don't miss this annual family-friendly event that includes Scottish Highland music, dancing, piping and drumming competitions, athletics, and cultural activities.  Can you already hear the bagpipes? Saturday, Gates open at 8am, Mt. Hood Community College, $10 kids, $20 adults, Free for kids under 5.  Details here.

Kenny & Zuke's Picklefest!  Taste some pickles, hear some tunes, relax in the park and support the Oregon Food Bank.  Sounds pretty awesome!  Saturday 12pm-6pm at Wallace Park (NW Portland on NW 25th St., in between NW Raleigh St. and NW Pettygrove Street), $5 tickets with proceeds benefiting the Oregon Food Bank.  Details here.

Hood River's Lavender Daze Festival Wander the U-Pick lavender fields, grab some festival BBQ, pick up some Hood River specialties at the vendor booths and check out some live music.  Hood River is a lovely day trip on it's own, but the Lavender Festival makes it even more memorable!  Saturday and Sunday, Hood River, Free admission.  Details here.
