Child's Play Toy Store in Portland

Game Time!

Events, ToysMegan PeronaComment

Are you joining us at the NW Library on Saturday?  We'll be there from 2:30 to 4 with more board games than you can shake a stick at!  Well, we're not sure what that means exactly, but we are bringing a LOT of games!  And, they are for all kinds of age levels, interests and skill sets.  Here's a few games we'll be playing: Educational_Toys_in_Portland_count_your_chickens

In this cooperative game everyone helps Mother Hen get her chicks back to the coop.  But, watch out for the sly fox!  This is a great first game, and introduces the concepts of turn taking, cooperation, following directions and develops counting skills.

Go!  Use the disc launcher at the back of your side to shoot discs through the hole to the other side.  Be the first person to clear your side of flying discs and win!  Great fast-paced fun for those with a shorter attention span!

This old-fashioned dice game is great to play by yourself or with a group.  Roll the dice, then knock down any number of tiles that add up to the dice roll.  Keep going until you can't knock down anymore tiles.  Be the player with the lowest number of tiles showing at the end of your turn and you win!

How do those sound?  Have any suggestions?  Any games you just can't wait to play?

Have an exciting day!
