The Bear and the Piano by David Litchfield

One day, a bear cub finds something strange and wonderful in the forest. When he touches the keys, they make a horrible noise. Yet he is drawn back again and again. After many months that horrible noise is actually quite pleasant, and the bear finds solace in the songs he plays. One day he is discovered by two children who insist he visits the city. There he'll be a star! But, the bear knows that if he leaves, the other bears will be very sad.... A touching story about leaving home, blazing your own trail and the love of family and friends. Heartwarming, especially for any musical souls. Best for ages 4+.
