April is National Poetry Month! It’s Spring and you know what that means! The return of birds! In honor of that, we thought you would fancy some bird poems. On the Wing is full of poems celebrating our feathered friends from the widely known (hummingbird, crow) to the lesser (bowerbird, Andean condor). A great introduction to poetry, some poems are funny, some short and sweet.“The Macaw”, states simply, “Who Spilled the Paint?”. Others are clever, like my favorite “The Sparrow”, who “Chirps from the branch, but wants to roar- small cousin of the Tyrannosaur”. Becca Stadtlander’s relaxing acrylic landscapes invite perusal again and again! Ages 3-7
